The domestic she-devil in action!
Remember? That's me! And today, I managed the unthinkable. I burnt VEGETABLES. Deeply in thought, I washed and cut my carrots, courgettes and cauliflower, threw them in the pot, salt and pepper on top and happily put the whole thing on the gas. (Gas-cooking in Turkey, by the way) What I did forget...

And that is a JOURNALIST?
I was doing some research into the benfits of sea water and came upon an interview with a scientist which the magazine in question printed in full. It went like this: Scientist: (about 20 lines) Journalist: Say again. Scientist: (another 20 lines) Journalist: Got ya! Scienist: (another 20 lines)...

Should bloggers mention their outside writing?
My answer to that question is YES in capitals. What makes a person, and a writer in particular, so interesting is to see all the different facettes of their interests and writing styles. Here on blogit, we get mere glimpses of each other, the entries are by nature limited in length and I for one,...

The way to selflessness
Another sunrise, another short night. Of late, I am not able to sleep more than 5 hours, restlessness takes over and I have to get up. I know of course that the reason is the desire to be anywhere but here and the knowledge that I still have to stick it out for a few more days, but I am digressing....

Home, Sufi philospohy and revolving
I was thrilled to have received so many positive comments on my post about "home." It seems that quite a few of you can understand my attitude towards home and my lifestyle. Whenever I menion it, and experience has taught me not to do that often, I get a lot of shaking heads and "tsz, tsz, tsz." Not...

Are you ever as crazy as this?
Today I had the brilliant idea to see how far I could push myself physically. Isrtaed the day with 30 minutes of aerobics (listening to Freddy Mercury). Then during the day, I went to a covered pool and did 40 lenghts, then I did a power walk of 1 1/2 hours, then I cleaned house and now I can just...

Close to insanity
Following up on my entry in "vogue" how to maintain a healthy insanity, I'm close to insanity myself. For the fifth time in 4 months we are for two days without water because, yet again, a water main has burst. Before you ask, it's of course always the same one!! And, nobody tells us, although it's...
